2. Outstanding Features

Sol de Mallorca is to be found to the south-east of the locality of Magalluf, next to the cove of Portals Vells and to the nudist beach El Mago. This is a small virgin cove of fine golden sand and transparent crystal clear water. In the year 1967 the film ´The Magician´ was filmed here with the popular film stars such as Anthony Quinn, Michael Caine y Candice Bergen. The remains of some of the edifices used can be found at about 100 m from the beach, including in the bathing zone.

The urbanization has the only casino of the island (where the Chess Festival of Calvià was inaugurated which was part of the World Championship of Chess) and it has a small sports quay. The neighbourhood consists of a few buildings on a small scale, mainly chalets, cottages, country houses and some hotels.
