2. Outstanding Features

The marine part of Puerto Portals, was inaugurated in 1986 and is considered to be the most glamorous port of Mallorca. Puerto Portals is a place of meeting for sports cars as well as a place which has many important regatas and a meeting place for vintage cars. Thanks to the shops and organizers of the area of the port, it is a stage of numerous activities both for the visitor as well as for the residents of the surrounding areas.

One of the most important and magical parts of Puerto Portals is its beach, protected by a small coastal island. The turquoise blue of the sea offers a safe dip in its shallow waters. It has a tropical aspect, and is watched over by a lovely antique church situated on the top part of the cliff.

Puerto Portals has some institutions, such as, Wellies, which is a restaurant that opens16 hours a day starting with breakfast at 09.00 in the morning and finishing with last minute suppers until 03.00 in the morning. Another very famous and very awarded restaurant is Tristán, with its Michelin stars. Just as well-known as Tristán is the Flanigan, more informal, and the most popular of the port. The Cappuccino is a very busy and popular coffee shop, elegant in a very pleasant way, and very much used as a meeting point.
