2. Outstanding Features

It is considered to be like a balcony over the Mediterranean, the Paseo Marítimo of Palma is a wide street about four kilometres in length parallel to the sea, first it runs by the fishing port and then alongside the commercial port to finish in the military area of the port. Along the length of this promenade, there are the most luxurious and elegant hotels of the island, the most vanguard discoteques and nightclubs of Palma, some of which have been built reforming a characteristic windmill. From the Paseo Marítimo it is possible to admire many of the most emblematic buildings of Palma such as the Catedral, the Almudaina and the Bellver Castle.
